Are you travelling for a long period of time with temperature sensitive medication? The iCool MediCube keeps medication between 2 to 8°C for 20 to 26 hours*. Flying can be stressful, especially when travelling with temperature sensitive medication as the wrong environment can be seriously problematic. For example, if the medication becomes to cold, it can freeze en route before thawing and this can make the medication dangerous to use. The MediCube helps ensure this situation is avoided. 

The MediCube includes two refreezable gel packs which keep the case cold. These are also sold separately for when you need a spare. With two convenient carry handles, the MediCube is easily portable. It's ideal for carrying pens, syringes and vials with its spacious internal storage compartment of 17 x 14 x 7cm. 

You no longer need to be restricted by your medication as the MediCube gives you the freedom to travel wherever you want. 

Dimensions:

  • External dimensions are 22cm (width) x 22cm (length) x 18.5cm (height) and weighs 2.25 kgs.
  • Gel pack dimensions are 14.5cm (width) x 18.5cm (length) x 3.5cm (height) and weighs 856 grams each.

Additional information

Always freeze your gel packs for at least 14 hours in a domestic freezer before using them in your medicine bag. Always keep your cooled medical bag closed unless you need to access your medication. Never place your medication in direct contact with the frozen gel pack.

Take care not to drop or bump the cold packs especially whilst frozen. Plastic becomes brittle when frozen and so any impact could result in a fine crack that won't necessarily be noticed straight away. Then once the cold pack starts to thaw, the gel will leak into the pocket of the bag. Try to freeze the cold packs on a flat shelf or in a container in the freezer to protect them. 

It's strongly advised to travel with a copy of your prescription and a letter from your GP with details of your medication (including its generic name, not just the brand name and the name of the health condition that you need the medication for). As well as helping you avoid any problems at customs, this will be useful if you need medical help while you're away. It may be worth getting the information translated into the language of the country or countries that you're visiting. Always seek advice from the airline you are travelling with or the departure/transit airport authorities regarding travelling with cooled medical bags or cooling devices.

I bought this item to carry medication that needs to remain refridgerated for the duration of long travel. My injection needs to be stored between 2 and 8c for a long hail flight.
The item itself arrived promptly, in excellent condition so I was able to do a trial run before my impending travel.
I froze the ice packs overnight and once ready I filled a food tub with some water. I put evrything into the medicibe alongside a fridge thermometer so I could check the temperature. I checked the cube numerous times while opening it quickly, checking the temperature and closing it as im expecting airport staff etc. to inspect the item, possibly open it and check what it is on each leg of my journey. It has been 37 hours on my last check and the thermometer is still reading 8c and at no point in the duration of the trial did the water look icy or freeze over.
At home I have also had my heating on as I tried to mimic more extreme temeperatures in case of this influencing the longevity of the bag however it has still dont the intended job.
The bag has a plastic seethrough slot at the front so a medical card with important information such as the persons name, address and what the contents are can be provided. This will help in case of losing the item or just for identification purpouses.
Im very impressed and this item has eased all my worries of travelling with refridgerated medication.

Great for keeping medication cool

Ok so I bought this medication bag for my mum that needed to keep her box of 7 injections cool (2 - 8 degrees) for a long haul flight to Mauritius (total of 21 hours travel time). I called customer services and they were fantastic and answered my queries. The bag arrived the next day as they kindly upgraded my postage from 48hr to 24hr for free!! The bag was well packed and was of high quality. The dividers in the middle that separates the meds from the ice packs could have been better designed to be more sturdy. The meds kept cool and it was only unzipped once to show security. I would definitely recommend this product if you need to keep medication cool for over 24 hours and the bag itself seemed very durable.

Perfect product and above all perfect service from MediGenix. I can't recommend this company more. I phoned twice and each time received helpful, kind advice. They also sent me the product ultra fast (I won't go into the long reason for the urgency), waiving the more expensive postage charge.

Due to a misunderstanding, I thought that the delivery option I had chosen would result in the bag arriving in a few days. Not so, it was explained to me, Royal Mail would handle it. However, as I needed it quickly, the lady decided to send it by DHL, not charging me for the substantial extra cost. The is truly exceptional service. I strongly recommend Medigenix with it's superb customer service.
