According to the manufacturer, Sanofi-aventis U.S, unopened Lantus should be stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Once opened, vials should continue to be refrigerated. Pre-filled pens must be kept at room temperature for a maximum of 28 days. When travelling vials may be kept at room temperature for up to 28 days.
